Now in its 7th year, the Watershed Institute Grant Program aims to help small, citizen-based watershed organizations establish themselves as independent and self-sustaining organizations with robust programs that protect and restore New Jersey's natural resources. Awards target projects that will strengthen organizational capacity and protect the environment. This grant program is made possible by funding from the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation and New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.

2009 Funding Cycle

Dates To Remember
  • June 9, 2009: Letter of Inquiry Due
  • August 25, 2009: Full Proposal Due
  • October 2009: Announcement of Grantees
  • April/May 2010: Six-Month Progress Meeting
  • July 30, 2010: Final Report Due

Guidelines for the 2009 funding cycle are detailed in the 2009 Request for Proposals.
The Letter of Inquiry phase is now closed. Proposals will only be accepted from those groups invited to submit them.
